A trip through Arizona and Utah
Now this is a trip we have made many times, from the Phoenix area to Northern Utah County and back. Generally, it takes 10 hours of actual driving each way. With the exception of central Utah (from I-15), the entire drive is beautiful and interesting. Central Utah is more interesting at night, when you can't actually see it... or perhaps if you are not the driver, and can look into the distance at the mountains. To make the trip more interesting, we stop about halfway and take a little hike, or a tour of Glen Canyon Dam.
